Malcom Volunteer Fire Dept.
Malcom Fire was organized in 1896. It is an all-volunteer department with four elected officers, Fire Chief, Assistant Fire Chief, Secretary and Treasurer. Membership is comprised of people living and working in the protection area of Malcom and the surrounding townships. The department protects approximately 100 square miles of rural farmland and the Town of Malcom. Funding consists of taxation and donations from the annual breakfast and fund drive. Current fire trucks are a 2021 Chevrolet grass rig, 2018 Freightliner/Toyne pumper, 2007 International/Smeal pumper, 2001 GMC/Midwest tanker and 1988 Chevrolet/Kirk grass rig.
